Hello again! It’s been awhile since school reopened. During the holiday, couple of our very own FS0801 headed to Cambodia to help educate and teach kids at Cambodia.


Some of us went to meet up with our classmates before they departed during the holidays



They were busy checking in to make sure they don’t miss their flight

While at Cambodia, my classmates made alot of friends from other courses and befriended the Cambodians


They played and learnt along side the Cambodian children


Besides the wonderful children they met, Cambodia was filled with scenery that was not available in Singapore

The exams are over and the holidays are here! I hope everyone is having fun so far :D

2 years have gone by really fast and come april we'll all be in year 3 already. We've come a long way as a class (and probably look really different form when we first met hahas). It's funny how we've taken class pictures like once every year just like secondary school... Let's take a trip down memory lane, check this out:



Hahahas, I just realised why Jack looks so constipated in that photo... But anyway, everyone looks so happy, so good times ahead!



Hmm, formation of united nations... But everyone still seems quite happy so it must have been a good year hahas. Well, at least there's a system now. Very effective I must admit.



Hahahas, funniest picture yet. For an informal class photo this is too formal hahas. But heck, we're going into year 3 already so it kinda shows our more mature side :o Seems that way >.< But the fun still takes place without pictures hahas. I guess we're all quite camera shy :o

HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE MONTH LATE! hahas!

The month of January has been hectic, wasn't long since the christmas holiday and, oh my, exams are around the corner again. Well, this can only mean one thing, the holidays are coming again hahahs!

Anyway, this month, we had our first field trip in MONTHS. I can't even remember when was the last time we had a field trip but it was probably to either the bread factory or the Yakult factory. Hmm.. seems like all we ever visit is factories because this time round, we visited another factory. What?! Yes, another factory -.-". But this time it's pretty cool because NO SMALL KIDS ARE ALLOWED Nyea Nyea :p ! Why is that so? Because it's the beer factory!! Woohoo!

We toured the factory, the very warm factory but that's probably because I was around :x, saw all the huge machines and beer making processes. Really interesting stuff over there especially the amazing Tiger Training Room. Hahas, no la, no tigers involved but it's still a funny room name. All kinds of beers are imported from what I remember they bring in Tiger, Heineken, Anchor, Baron's, ABC stout. Cool eh? But the best part was not the that they had variety, the best part was the free beers hahahs!





I guess we all had fun, except for some, ahem, but at least for the most part it was fun.

Oh and btw, Cookie4today will be served during the food science exhibition, make your way to the n6 lab and grab your cookies while stocks last :D Hehe, shameless plug :D

Whoa! Check out the camera and the crew! What exactly is happening? Could it be...



THE NEW SCREAM MOVIE?! Nope. It isn't. Well, Singapore Idol came to NYP not too long ago. And... Yeah, they just came lol.



Ok, the picture quality is really bad. Must be due to all the hoo-haa and shoving around to see the singer. Well, it didn't really interest me that much but it's cool that our poly is getting some buzz. But what's really buzzing these days is our very own piano wizard... JONATHAN!



The library cafe held a little lunch time performance and was well received by everyone there. Especially with the keyboard mastery of Jonathan :D

It has been happening these few weeks and as the common test draw closer, I wish everyone all the best in mugging and also in advance, Merry Christmas :D

Food Science Singapore Food Manufacturing Association Competition 2009

Participants : Geoff Ang Xun , Er Gin Jack ( Me ) , Jeremy, Winnie, Germaine , Bao Ru from FS0801

We would like to thank our lecturers for giving us the chance to participate in the contest.
We also like to thank them for all the help they have given us over the course of the competition as well.
Thank you Mr Richard Khaw , Mr Thomas Teh , Ms Gan.

Over 20 teams from different institutes including NUS participated, we all given our own unique presentation to go along with our food product.

We arrived at the location via our chartered bus and our mr friendly "Driver"



We had to prepare our food and slides plus rehearsal so no time to take photos of the event occurring during the competition itself. Our lecturers might have some though :P

After the competition there was a buffet and we all sat around feast on the food while we took photos of ourself =O

On 1st Oct , some of us ( Hui Hui , Geoff , Jeremy , Devi , Ai Jin , Lay Khean and me ( Jack) ) from FS0801 went to prawn together =) It was the first time some of us went prawning and it was overall fun and entertaining. Despite some of us not having the "magical touch" to catch the prawn. We had enough people with the "magical touch" to ensure we had prawns to eat by the end of the day :D

AHHH National day break is over so soon! Why????

Anyway, with the temperature taking exercises going on and off almost everyday, everybody can now show off how innovative the school really is by... Making funny monster pictures with the green stickers and the sticker disposal board.

So everyday there would be a new monster picture with tentacles and many legs and hands. But what makes last friday's monster so special was that it had a name :o And, the very creative designer was caught in the act, placing the name card in a very artistic position, playing with the contrast of colours. The president of the SCL club (Owen Tan, that's the name on the card) must be so proud to have his name card displayed in such an elegant fashion. Who could the designer be? Take a look at the pictures, you be the judge.

I dunno who it is but it could be Yu Yong, since she is running away so quick that all the camera could capture is a blurry figure. Or could it be Geoff? Just look at how proud he is of the name card monster! Or could it be Jack? For he is neither male or female, and he looks suspicious in every way, could he be the mastermind behind this work of art? Nobody would ever know muahahahahahaha.

Anyway, hey all the readers :D

Today, we present to you, weighing only 100 pounds, only 5 ft tall, gay and totally not happy, in the left corner, IT'S ERRR...... GIN JACK! And in the right corner, weighin--- HEY THE MATCH HAVEN'T STARTED! LET HIM GO! OEI!


CHEAP SHOT BY JACK! Leaving Galex unconscious. Hahas, joking. Because of the violent events, no pictures of the action would be shown.

That was round 1.... Jack disqualified.


Round 2.

Jack goes for the cheap shot again. BUT GEOFF COUNTERS! Being confident of winning, he stares into the camera with his small asian eyes (hahahs racist woohoo :D )and waves to his fans. (ok, actually he was taunting jack with the italian WTF hand motion) THE CROWD GOES WILD!



Then Jack gets a beating. As expected.


Round 3.
Jack tries the cheap shot again, but he slips. And the rest is history. Jeremy too tired to fight back so he just held Jack back until Jack was too exhuasted to do anything.
$1 for 3 tries. But 3 tries and still fail. Jack loses all 3 rounds. The crowd cheer on the 3 brave heroes who took on the challenge to defeat the evil creature and rid the world of the allergy known to men as gay. And yes, gay is an allergy. Please consult your doctor about levitrol if you think you need a cure for gay.

hello ppl ! its me again! im back to update the blog with lay khean's birthday! lay khean turned 19 on feb 12. and tht was the exxam tension time. so i couldn't update the blog. appologies to lay khean and now its pay back time!




but dont u wanna know wht happened on her birthday? lol!
you might be wondering, wheres lay khean? haha well, shes not in this picture, because this one was taken when we were busy designing her cake in jurong point.! haha! hell yes! we are the marvellous designers of the cake!:)
see!! isnt it sooo pretty! lol.:) in chocolate cream we wrote: "you are my sunshine! my only sunshine" because lay khean is apparently in lurve with that song. and we drew her a gorgeous sun because she took the little miss test in facebook and she was called little miss sunshine! :)
this was taken in the cathay:) before watching bride war:) lay khean cutting her cake! and thnx to her we were super late for the show! lol :)
after the show, we went down, ate the delicious cake and made lay khean grab her candle with her mouth.. muahaha!:) we made her do tht like 3-4 times!

hey ppl! today is ai jin's 19th!:) so me(devi) hui hui and lay khean decided to do a lil something for her:)

starting with the gifts! we got her a doraemon landyard,a birthday card, a walking doraemon soft toy, well i call tht marching.. but anywwayss hahax. and lastly a pendant with her name and her foto engraved on it.!


well u would have guessed by now.. lol yea ai jin is a die heart fan of doraemon! and tht xplains why this was the cake we got her! :)

yeap! and now! its time to eat the cake! and ai jin wanted to eat the doraemon!
this is a foto of the doraemon being snipped out of the cake., her name being smudged. and ai jin mentally preparing herself to eat her idol!

theree you go..! lol but this is just a foto, ai jin couldnt bare to swallow her doraemon, so she flipped the piece over and ate it!

well..! voila! this was our mini celerbration for ai jin! the class had a cake for her yesterday, along with owen who celebrated his birthday yesterday! :) i'll take this oppotunity to help ai jin thank the class for the doraemon music box she got for her birthday today:) she loves it:)
